The show will highlight the evolving relationship between cultural identification and ecology in this current climate of acceleration and change. Incorporating a particular array of techniques and mediums, the artworks on display share a common interest in the way forms of repurposing and cultivated biology engender cultural meaning in works of art. Specifically employing methods of entropy, growth and accumulation, the works strive to reconnect transhistorical strands while introducing new habitats where meaning can potentially emerge from. From Julien Creuzet’s amplified tokens of history, technology, geography and selves to Willa Wasserman’s breathing library of shifting desire and identity, the presentation will exist as a heterogeneous multitude of ongoing research and experimentation.
