Another ascension scheme is turning a single painting into two. The stretcher is available again once it no longer supports the canvas. You can take this stretcher and put something else on it1. Additionally, an unstretched painting can become larger, because of the unpainted margins.
A styled object is elevated somehow. With this in mind the paintings and sculptures in this show are styled rather than painted and sculpted.
1. Tape: At times it holds things in place, other times it’s just there.
